The Bo & Kerstin Hjelt Foundation for Type 2 diabetes research

The Bo & Kerstin Hjelt Foundation for type 2 diabetes research was established in 2008 and has as a long-term goal to fund research to prevent and cure type 2 diabetes. The Foundation finances diabetes research at the Medical Faculties of Lund University, Sweden and Geneva University, Switzerland.

The foundation solicits applications from independent investigators or young scientists on the way to independence. Preference will be given to novel projects rather than support for on-going research. The subsidy can cover salaries and/or costs for consumables including laboratory rodents. Equipment and other infrastructure will not be financed.

Your application should be uploaded as a single document. The main body of the application should contain no more than 5 pages, covering these items:
A) scientific background
B) research plan
C) short methodology
D) significance
Tables and figures are to be included in the 5 page limit.

Also include in the same document (not counted in the 5 page limit):
E) references
F) budget with detailed justifications.
G) CV (biosketch no more than 2 pages) plus publication list without abstracts.
