We congratulate the new Diabetes grant holders for 2017! Albert Salehi, Andreas Edsfeldt and Yang De Marinis, Lund University Diabetes Centre – LUDC. Sanda Ljubicic and Giorgio Ramadori, University of Geneva. Interviews with the new grant holders will be published.
The Bo & Kerstin Hjelt Foundation for type 2 diabetes research was established in 2008 and has as a long-term goal to fund research to prevent and cure type 2 diabetes. The Foundation finances diabetes research at the Medical Faculties of Lund University, Sweden and Geneva University, Switzerland.
The foundation solicits applications from independent investigators or young scientists on the way to independence. Preference will be given to novel projects rather than support for on-going research. The subsidy can cover salaries and/or costs for consumables including laboratory rodents. Equipment and other infrastructure will not be financed.
The application period for 2017 is 16 October – 1 December.
Project funding beginning on April 1st, 2018
